Puget Sound Emergency Radio Network (PSERN)

The Puget Sound Emergency Radio Network (PSERN) is a voter-approved emergency radio system used for dispatching and communications between fire, law enforcement, and other agencies in King County, Washington. It is a simulcast 800MHz trunked radio system, utilizing P25 Phase II digital technology to broadcast via 61 radio sites between over 18,000 portable (hand-held), mobile (vehicle), and control station (desktop) radios, as well as dispatch center consoles, within the service area. PSERN is maintained and operated by the PSERN Operator.
